Lemko to Power Execulink Telecom's New Data, SMS and MMS Functions

Lemko Corporation, a company specializing in the re-engineering and development of mobile broadband for Internet economics, today entered into an agreement with Canada’s Execulink Telecom, providing the independent telephone company with a solution to drive its core voice, SMS and MMS functions. Put simply, Execulink will integrate Lemko’s DiMoWiNe (Distributed Mobile Wireless Network) MVNO technology into its operational architecture.

This technology will enable coast-to-coast roaming capabilities, along with a number of other features including data, Internet, cable television and advanced voice features. DiMoWiNe will also enable Execulink customers to create custom feature packages.

"With an increasing demand for mobility services, Lemko's DiMoWiNe solution has allowed us to provide our mobility customers with the highest quality of service they have been accustomed to with our current line-up of telecommunications products & services," said Execulink CEO Ian Stevens in a statement.

DiMoWiNe virtualizes the network’s core, rendering all IMS core functions — call processing, location registers, SMS and data — as software on the cloud. As such, Lemko’s solution is capable of scaling simply in a manner similar to adding a PC to a LAN. This reduces upfront investment and operational costs in the MVNO architecture, which scales as use and traffic increases.

"Lemko's DiMoWiNe benefits are game changing. We understand the challenges companies like Execulink Telecom face in maintaining the great services they provide to customers while remaining profitable. Lemko's DiMoWiNe was the only MVNO solution that could meet these challenges," said Bo Pyskir, president of Lemko Corporation.

Recently, Lemko appointed Michael Sisto as vice president of sales. Sisto brings to the company almost three decades of experience with technology and telecommunications from companies including IBM, AT&T (News - Alert), Lucent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard.

In early December, Lemko issued a statement applauding the U.S. Court of Appeals’ decision that mandates large wireless companies agree to “commercially reasonable” roaming deals on their 4G LTE (News - Alert) networks.
