CellTrust (News - Alert) has announced an open text messaging platform to promote the importance of oral health for children.

This platform is ideal for dentists, university dental programs, and not-for-profit organizations that are engaged in programs associated with children's oral health.

CellTrust specializes in providing secure mobile communication and was recently recognized as the 52nd fastest growing telecommunications company in the US. Commenting on the rationale of the release, CellTrust says that Americans send 2.27 trillion text messages each year.

The company is leveraging the popularity of text messages and using its platform to send and receive text messages. In January 2012, CellTrust's platform was used for the Text2Floss text messaging program with A.T. Still University (ATSU), Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH).

This program helped in the promotion of preventative and ongoing health and wellness initiatives for current patients and the underserved.

CellTrust recently partnered with Kids Voting Arizona and the Arizona Bar Foundation to provide a text messaging-based youth polling program.

This program was offered at the foundation's partner site lawforkids.org, and was part of 2012’s Kids Voting Arizona initiative.

CellTrust was in news last month when TMC (News - Alert), a global, integrated media company, named the CellTrust Secure Mobile Transaction Server as the recipient of the 2011 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.
